SNG Wiz

A key part of succeeding at sit n gos is understanding the latter stage of the game, often called the 'shove/fold' or 'push/fold' stage. At this point in the game, due to the higher blind levels and therefore how many BBs (big blinds) you and your opponents have, the pre-flop decision is purely about whether to shove/push (go all in) or to fold.

Due to the faster pace of the blind structure, this is even more important for turbo players. A failure to understand good shove/fold ranges is a huge leak in these games.

Many of the shove/fold hands will seem at first counter-intuitive (e.g. there will be times when it is correct and profitable to shove 72o from the small blind to big blind but to fold AK if the table positions are reversed).

A good sit n go poker coach will help you work on your shove/fold game. They will often use SNG Wiz which is why it makes perfect sense to get it for yourself. This means inbetween your SNG poker coaching lessons you can load your sit n go hand histories into Wiz to see where you made correct/incorrect decisions.

If you get into the habit of doing this frequently (ideally after each session you play) you'll quickly get a feel for the common situations and what the correct hand ranges are in those spots. There is a 30 day trial period and if you want to purchase after that (which if you're serious about mastering SNGs you will) the license costs a reasonable $99. Used wisely, the product will easily pay for itself and then some.
